Every quarter Willis Towers Watson publishes its Quarterly Insurtech Briefing. For the first quarter of the year, it counts 85 fundraisings with a total of $1.42 billion (€1,27 billion) invested in insurtech throughout the world. The first country in the ranking is the US, with 46% of the money raised going to US based insurtechs, the 2nd and 3rd countries being the UK and China, while Canada and France complete the top 5. The companies that managed to raise the most investments are the American CloverHealth (specialized in health) with €448 million and the German Wefox (brokering insurtech) with €111 million. This year looks promising for the international insurtech scene.
