With the rise of new mode of transports and the need for the insurers to offer more than “just an insurance coverage”, some insurers have gathered.
In this constantly evolving market, insurers and banks need to go beyond their traditional service and offer innovative solutions, not only to stay competitive but also to adapt to new ways of living and new modes of transports.
Beginning of June, BNP Paribas Fortis, AG Insurance and Touring have announced that they signed a strategic partnership. The aim of this strategic partnership is to go beyond insurance and to be present on prevention, safety, assistance and mobility.
In this trio, Touring Assistance will provide its assistance services and modern solutions that will be sold through the different channels of AG Insurance and BNP Paribas Fortis.
For instance, one of the subsidiaries of Touring has developed Easyway, a trip planning application that integrates various mobility solutions. Through this partnership, payments to different service providers will be made through a single platform, limiting personal registrations and bank data records to one application while facilitating the administrative management of expense reports.
On the agenda, we can therefore find centralization of solutions and expansion of the product range, but the actual implementation of these new features still seems a little unclear. The effort and unity are there, but the first concrete solutions are expected by mid-2020.
