Our client is looking for a Modelling Risk Professional to join its Financial & Insurance Risk Management team. The team is responsible for managing and modelling the company’s activities risks.
The Modelling Risk Professional’s tasks will mainly involve the modelling of liability cash flows and customer behaviour. In particular, he/she will:
Support the analysis of the profitability and risk of the insurance portfolio by creating and maintaining the cash flow models and their assumptions used for all valuation exercises (Embedded Value, Economic Capital, Value of New Business)
Provide clear and powerful insights into results obtained from the models, and more importantly, support senior management in understanding and mitigating the modelling risk underlying the obtained results
Support the reporting team during peak periods, by contributing to the valuation or sup-porting in the review of obtained results
Provide accurate documentation on new developments and maintain existing documentation packages
Actively participate in technical committees that treat modelling of Insurance Liabilities and Life Underwriting Risks.
University degree (graduate or post-graduate) in a quantitative subject (e.g. actuarial, mathematics, physics, engineering, economics)
At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in risk management
A thorough command and understanding of the different types of life insurance products
Experience with actuarial modelling software, knowledge of AFM is a plus
An excellent command of English, Dutch and/or French. Is an asset
Our client is looking for a Senior Life Consulting Actuary who will be responsible for the execution of several projects, mainly in the insurance industry. Because of the company’s customised services, these projects are often in collaboration with other insurance experts from other disciplines.
The Senior Life Consulting Actuary’s assignments are varied, and include among them:
Solvency II (all 3 pillars)
Furthermore, the Senior Life Consulting Actuary will be given the opportunity to work not only with local colleagues but also with experts from the company’s global network. In his/her role, the Senior Actuary, will use a wide range of tools, which he could eventually decide to further develop. In addition, he/she will contribute to the expansion of the client’s activities in Financial Risk Management and to the consolidation of the company’s strong position in the insurance market.
The Senior Life Consulting Actuary needs to possess the following skills:
Master’s degree in actuarial sciences and at least 6 years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry
