DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Our client is looking for a Risk Reporting Analyst to join its the risk management department.

He/she will be in charge of both technical and operational aspects; more specifically, his/her tasks will be the followings:

  • Organising and managing the information coming from the various internal services and useful to the risk managers to develop Business Plans and budgets via the various tools required
  • Providing, on an autonomous and periodic basis, statistics, tables and graphs
  • Being responsible for the data’s collection and analysis to develop risk reports
  • Supporting the risk managers in all internal and external reporting activities
  • Developing the tools to use historical data
  • Coordinating and executing all administrative and/or operational risk management tasks for the following areas: Internal control, operational risks and centralization of annual reviews
  • Managing all risk management documentation in order to quickly deliver relevant information and playing a proactive and critical role in the quality of the information provided.

 

PROFILE

  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • A first professional experience, ideally in accounting or insurance
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent level of French and good level of English and Dutch

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Our client is looking for a Modelling Risk Professional to join its Financial & Insurance Risk Management team. The team is responsible for managing and modelling the company’s activities risks.

 

The Modelling Risk Professional’s tasks will mainly involve the modelling of liability cash flows and customer behaviour. In particular, he/she will:

 

  • Support the analysis of the profitability and risk of the insurance portfolio by creating and maintaining the cash flow models and their assumptions used for all valuation exercises (Embedded Value, Economic Capital, Value of New Business)
  • Provide clear and powerful insights into results obtained from the models, and more importantly, support senior management in understanding and mitigating the modelling risk underlying the obtained results
  • Support the reporting team during peak periods, by contributing to the valuation or sup-porting in the review of obtained results
  • Provide accurate documentation on new developments and maintain existing documentation packages
  • Actively participate in technical committees that treat modelling of Insurance Liabilities and Life Underwriting Risks.

 

PROFILE

  • University degree (graduate or post-graduate) in a quantitative subject (e.g. actuarial, mathematics, physics, engineering, economics)
  • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in risk management
  • A thorough command and understanding of the different types of life insurance products
  • Experience with actuarial modelling software, knowledge of AFM is a plus
  • An excellent command of English, Dutch and/or French. Is an asset

Risk Management Senior Analyst

Our client is looking for a Risk Management Senior Analyst who will actively participate in the development and implementation of risk management practices within the Solvency 2 framework.

The Risk Management Senior Analyst will use the tools of the Group to calculate the SCR, by:

  • Assessing the risk associated with the P&C risks
  • Performing Sensitivity analyses
  • Participating actively in the drafting of suitability notes, ORSA and the internal model validation report
  • Carrying out reinsurance underlying studies
  • Elaborating risk-based metrics used to produce the use-tests
  • Studying and analyzing the evolution in the solvency ratio over the strategic plan horizon
  • Drafting all useful studies for the Regulator, the external auditors and the Model Validation Coordinator
  • Developing a transversal vision of risk management, in direct contact with the technical and financial departments
  • Managing projects and being in regular interaction with the company’s correspondents.

 

PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Business Engineering, Economics/Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Basic knowledge of Solvency II and/or Basel II and risk management is a major asset
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good stress resistance
  • Ability to analyze, synthetize and communicate efficiently
  • Fluent in French or Dutch with a good level of English (written and spoken).
