DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Our client is looking for a Senior Product Actuary who will join the Product Life Team. This team is in charge of the development and the pricing for the new Life retail products.

The person will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Develop new technical solutions and optimize actuarial elements of existing products
  • Together with relevant departments, manage and monitor the implementation
  • Manage the simulation tools for different distribution partners
  • Provide actuarial and risk calculations to support distribution partners
  • Price monitoring and commercial gestures
  • Provide expertise and actuarial /technical support internally and externally
  • Monitor and analyse new market trends and developments to ensure that the products and services are well positioned in the market from a technical point of view
  • Liaise closely with the Company’s distribution partners to identify the customer's needs

PROFILE

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science
  • At least five years of relevant experience in actuarial life and/or risk management
  • Good knowledge of all technical aspects for retail life products and of the insurance business main challenges
  • Fluency in Dutch/French (knowledge of English is an asset)
  • Well-developed communication skills and a capability of explaining complex information in a simple, clear, correct way and of working with people other than actuaries
  • Excellent knowledge of and actuarial experience with financial products

  • Knowledge of at least one banking back and front office processes (distribution channels, customer relationship management, cash, lending, payment processing, risk management, finance)
  • Knowledge of Investment banking and core banking is an asset
