World Life Insurance Report 2026
29/09/2025- Source
Capgemini’s World Life Insurance Report 2026, based on insights from 6,176 customers under 40 and 200 industry executives across 18 countries, identifies the key growth opportunity as “insurance for living”; products that deliver immediate, tangible value rather than distant, long-term benefits.
To stay relevant for younger generations, insurers should:
Adapt to new competition from banks and wellness platforms offering real-time value and control.
Redesign products with flexible, life-enhancing benefits.
Reimagine distribution through hybrid advisory models combining digital convenience and human expertise.
Early adopters who act on these priorities can regain market share and build lasting engagement with the under-40 segment as their wealth grows.
Mobility : Nearly twice as many employees commute to work by bike compared to 2019
19/09/2025- Source
During the first half of 2025, the number of employees commuting by bike — and receiving a cycling allowance — increased again, nearly doubling compared to 2019, according to payroll data from SD Worx, based on over 185,000 workers in the private sector.
The average monthly net allowance amounts to €45, or roughly €350 per year so far.
The number of employers offering a cycling allowance has also doubled in six years, from 18% in 2019 to over 33% in 2025, boosted by the introduction of the generalized cycling allowance in 2023.
Regional differences remain: in Flanders, 40% of employers offer the allowance and 20% of employees cycle to work — compared with 13% and 2.5% respectively in Wallonia, and 28% and 7% in Brussels.
The top sectors with the highest share of cycling employees are health and social care (28%), industry (19%), and waste and water management (17%).
Depending on the system, employees can receive between €0.29 and €0.36 per kilometer, up to an annual ceiling of €3,610 in 2025.
AG and Proximus join forces by investing in the Belgian video consultation platform Doktr
04/09/2025- Source
AG Insurance has joined Proximus, MC, and Solidaris as shareholders in Doktr, the Belgian video consultation platform launched in 2021.
This investment strengthens their shared ambition to develop a hybrid healthcare model combining digital and in-person care.
With growing pressure on access to general practitioners; especially in Wallonia; video consultations are emerging as a practical complement, embraced by nearly one in two Belgians.
Since launch in 2001, Doktr has reached over 400,000 downloads and a 97% user satisfaction rate. Through this alliance, the partners aim to make digital healthcare accessible to all, expand services to employers and patients, and enhance the platform with new features and providers.
The transaction is pending regulatory approval and is expected to close in the coming weeks.
