Pierre Michaux is joining Securex as Chief Risk Officer Insurance
After 16 years at AG, where he held several key leadership roles in Belgium, Asia, and Turkey, Pierre Michaux is taking on a new challenge as Chief Risk Officer at Securex.
Throughout his impressive journey at AG and Ageas, Pierre demonstrated strong expertise across finance, risk, and strategic transformation. He started as Head of Product Portfolio Management (Employee Benefits & Health Care), before becoming Director, Head of Business Risk Control & Performance for Life Insurance. He later expanded his international experience as Regional Director, Head of Finance & Control Asia for Ageas, and also contributed as Project Lead for the Pension & Finance workstreams following major joint venture acquisitions.
His most recent position was once again at AG, where he served as Director, Head of Business Risk Control & Performance for Life Insurance, overseeing key performance and governance initiatives.

Heley Popal appointed Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer
Heley Popal, currently Head of Strategy and Transformation at NN Insurance Belgium, has been appointed as a member of NNIB’s Management Committee on September 15. Heley Popal has been working within the NN Group for 10 years, both in the Netherlands and internationally.
With Heley’s official entry into the Management Committee, NNIB is strengthening its commitment to strategy and transformation with the aim of further advancing digitalization, enhancing customer and partner satisfaction, and supporting growth.

Allianz Benelux strengthens its Non-Life and Distribution organization
As part of its ambition to significantly expand its Non-Life business in the Benelux region, while maintaining sustainable growth in Life & Health and building a strong wealth management portfolio, Allianz Benelux is reshaping its Management Board to better align its organization with its strategic goals.
All Non-Life activities will now be integrated into a single entity, ensuring clear accountability across all segments and providing brokers and markets with one unified interface.
This new entity will be led by Jeroen den Tex, appointed Chief P&C Officer Benelux. With extensive leadership experience at Chubb, RSA, and AON, and most recently as Country President of Chubb Benelux, he brings strong expertise in strategic planning, client management, and profitable growth.
In addition, Allianz Benelux is reinforcing its Sales and Market functions with the appointment of Heidi Cortois as Chief Sales Officer Belgium, effective October 1st. Coming from NN Belgium, she will lead sales teams, manage broker relations, and drive sales strategies, reporting directly to the Regional CEO. The Chief Sales Officer for the Netherlands will be announced soon. These appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
Thom Mallant and Hélène Portegies will leave the company, while Eric van den Heuvel (Chief Underwriting Officer) and Jonathan Poole (Head of Allianz Commercial) will join the new consolidated Non-Life unit reporting to Jeroen den Tex.
