Sylvie Focquet

Sylvie Focquet appointed CRO at P&V Group

P&V Group has appointed Sylvie Focquet as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), completing its Executive Committee. She succeeds Jeroen Spinoy, who became CEO of P&V Group in April 2026.

Focquet brings extensive experience in risk management, regulation and supervision across the insurance and financial sectors. Most recently, she served as Head of Unit Internal Models at EIOPA, where she was responsible for the development and harmonisation of internal models and supervisory practices across Europe.

Her previous experience includes senior roles at the European Commission, the EU Single Resolution Board, and AXA, where she contributed to Solvency II and crisis management projects.

In her new role, she will lead P&V Group’s risk management activities, support the group’s strategic ambitions and strengthen its relationships with supervisory authorities. Her appointment remains subject to approval by the National Bank of Belgium (NBB).

Hélène Portegies appointed COO of Fédérale Assurance

Hélène Portegies has been appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Fédérale Assurance and joined its Management Committee on 1 September 2026, succeeding Werner Van Steen.

She brings extensive insurance experience gained at AXA, Yuzzu and Allianz, with expertise in transformation, change management, customer experience, product management and technical profitability. In her new role, she will support Fédérale Assurance’s ongoing development and transformation.

Marine Habart appointed CFO & General Secretary of Axa Luxembourg

Marine Habart has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and General Secretary of AXA Luxembourg & Axa Wealth Europe. She brings extensive experience in insurance, actuarial science, risk management and finance, developed through several senior positions within the AXA Group.

Before taking on her new role, she served as Director of the Actuarial Function at AXA Belgium and previously spent several years at Group level as Life & Health Chief Actuary and Life, Savings & Health Chief Risk Officer. Her career has given her strong exposure to financial performance, regulatory frameworks, risk modelling and strategic decision-making in an international environment. 

Alongside her executive career, Marine Habart is also Co-Director of the Euro-Institut d’Actuariat (EURIA) since 2011, reflecting her strong involvement in the actuarial and academic community.

Tim Vandenabeele appointed Chief Risk Officer of AMMA Verzekeringen

Tim Vandenabeele has joined AMMA Verzekeringen as Chief Risk Officer, following five years at Monument Assurance Belgium, where he most recently served as Head of the Actuarial Department.

During his time at Monument, he contributed to the company’s development while working closely with its management team and actuarial function. In his new role at AMMA, he will focus on further strengthening the company’s risk management culture and supporting its broader strategic ambitions.

Cédric Lootvoet appointed CEO of OneLife

OneLife has appointed Cédric Lootvoet as CEO, effective 1 September, following eight months as deputy CEO. He succeeds Bruno Valerstein and will lead the company’s next phase of growth across its European markets.

His priorities include expanding digital and investment solutions, improving operational efficiency and internal processes, and maintaining a high level of service quality and wealth management expertise.

Lootvoet has been with OneLife since 2010 and has held several senior positions, including Director of Compliance & Risk, CFO, and authorised director. His background also includes experience at the Belgian Financial Intelligence Processing Unit and Deloitte Luxembourg.

OneLife, part of Groupe Apicil, provides cross-border life insurance and wealth planning solutions for high-net-worth clients. At the end of 2025, it reported €11.4 billion in assets under management, up 8.3% year-on-year.

Filiz Korkmazer joins the Board of Directors of the NBB

As of 1 September 2026, Filiz Korkmazer will be responsible for the Prudential Supervision of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Department. 

As of 1 December 2026, she will also oversee the Equipment and Techniques and General Services units in the Cash and Facility Management Department. In addition, she will act as sponsor of the Bank’s IMMO project to renovate our historic headquarters.
