Over the course of nine years, he progressed through the Insurance & Actuarial Services practice, advancing from Consultant to Senior Manager. He then joined Accelerant Insurance Europe as Deputy CFO, before moving into the role of Director of Risk Management. His appointment as CRO and Member of the Board reflects his strong expertise in risk management and his continued contribution to the company's growth.

Jean-Baptiste Braet appointed Chairman of the Board at Fédérale Assurance

Jean-Baptiste Braet has been appointed Chairman of the Board at Fédérale Assurance, succeeding Frédéric de Schrevel. A Board member since 2020 and Vice Chairman since 2024, he brings extensive leadership experience from the construction industry. Former CEO of the family-owned company Aannemingen Braet for more than three decades, he is expected to leverage his entrepreneurial background and strong understanding of the challenges facing businesses to support Fédérale Assurance's future development. Assuralia renews the mandates of its President and Vice President

Assuralia, the Belgian association of insurance companies, has renewed the mandates of its President, Etienne Bouas-Laurent, and Vice President, Heidi Delobelle, for an additional two-year term. Etienne Bouas-Laurent serves as CEO of AXA Belgium and Chairman of the Board of AXA Luxembourg, while Heidi Delobelle is CEO of AG Insurance and Managing Director of Ageas Belgium. Filiz Korkmazer and Pierre Crevits appointed to the NBB Board of Directors

The National Bank of Belgium (NBB) has announced the appointments of Filiz Korkmazer and Pierre Crevits to its Board of Directors, each for a six-year term by royal decree.

Filiz Korkmazer will take up her position on 1 September 2026. A business lawyer educated at Ghent University and the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, she has held several senior positions in the Belgian public sector, including serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of the Financial Unit for the Minister of Finance.
